YOUTH DAY TORONTO
JULY 5, 11AM TO 11PM
WITH DJ BRUCYBRUCE

YD | T.O provides a tented gallery and encourages young people to find a passion in their art, expressing their emotions through fine arts.

The Youth Gallery features a wide representation of visual culture in Toronto. Fine art and design have always been linked to distinctive cultures within the visual arts. The area includes presentations of unique and individual art, and the format showcases works from young creative talent from high school level, through post-secondary, to entry into the professional world. The work demonstrates the gradual increase in quality, substance and a real understanding of visual culture.

This expedition brings awareness of different genres of art and design to younger aspiring minds and provides a clearer representation of possible career directions. Several pieces from established and well known successful mentors are also displayed as goals for the younger creators to work towards. Come and view the Gallery right on Yonge-Dundas Square on Sunday July 21st.

YOUTH DAY TORONTO
JULY 5, 11AM TO 11PM
WITH DJ BRUCYBRUCE

YD | T.O provides a stage and encourages young people to find a passion in the arts and express their emotions through dance.

Over 100 acts each summer from single performers to full dance troupes get to showcase their achievements in all forms of dance to an audience of some 30,000 filled with peers, family and friends.

Two outdoor stages operated back to back, enable over 300 young people selected through auditions moderated by industry professionals earlier in the Spring – and have the chance to shine at Yonge-Dundas Square.

New opportunities for those 14 to 29 are created, while successful mentor artists support, celebrate and encourage these efforts as they give back to their fans with headline performances to close the annual festival.
